What is Parent/ Caregiver Training Support?

  • Education on autism and how it affects their child’s development.  Every child is different, so this is individualized for each family based on their child’s strengths and needs. 

  • Education on ABA principles and techniques that directly apply to their child. 

  • Education on the functions of behaviors and how to respond to behaviors accordingly.  

  • Hands on training and support to generalize learned skills in the home environment. 

  • Hands on training and support to increase functional communication. 

  • Hands on training and support to implement plans to reduce challenging behaviors in the home. 

Why is Parent/ Caregiver Training and Support so Important?

  • Parents will have an enhanced understanding of autism and receive the tools to support their child in day-to-day situations. 

  • Parents will develop increased confidence in being able to manage their child’s behaviors and supporting their growth. 

  • There will be consistency across all environments, which increases the overall effectiveness of ABA services.
